QUESTION: My 2002 4wd Tahoe is not on your list. I would like to use a 2006 Hayabusa on it, I am still looking to find its weight, but can you tell me which ones that you offer I should use an an idea of their cost?

ANSWER: The VH-SPORT RO would be the carrier to look at. You can put 283 lbs on top of the carrier and your vehicle will still sit level. You can add more weight than the 283, but the more weight that you add you will begin to see the rear of the vehicle to start to sag. The suspension will begin to compress and you may see the vehicle riding rougher. The VH-SPORT RO will run $600.00 shipped within the continental U.S.

You will likely need air bags or another type of suspension enhancement to be able to carry the weight of this bike that lists at 485 lbs.

QUESTION: I am looking to put a scooter on my RV. Do you make a carrier that will allow me to put my Yakima 2 bike carrier into the tow hitch of your carrier? I want to bring my mountain bike and 300 scooter. My hitch is a class 3 500lb tongue.

ANSWER: Yes, our VH-55 RO has a 71.5″ long, 6.375″ wide rail and has a 500 lbs carrying capacity http://www.versahaul.com/vh55ro.php and the VH-SPORT RO has a 77.5″ long, 7.875″ wide rail and has a 600lbs carrying capacity http://www.versahaul.com/vhsportro.php. Both carriers have the towing feature behind them to insert a bike rack.

We do not sell direct so you will have to purchase through a dealer or online dealer. http://www.versahaul.com/dealers.php

QUESTION: I’m looking to purchase a motorcycle carrier that will not only hold my bike, but will allow me to pull a boat at the same time. My bike is a Honda Shadow Spirit 750 (cruiser). It weighs around 550 pounds. The boat is 17 1/2 feet weighing around 1,300 lbs. I plan to haul all if this with a 2010 21 foot Coachmen Freelander RV. Do you have a product that will fit my needs?

ANSWER: The VH-Sport RO is the best option.  It has a 600 lb total carrying weight and a towing capacity of 3000 lbs.

You will also need a bigger Class IV or Class V hitch that can support the combined weight of your bike (est 536 lbs), VH-Sport RO (111 lbs) and the Tongue weight of your trailer.  Also Coachmen frames sometimes do not extend far enough behind the Camper.  The hitch may not support this weight.  Check the hitch mount carefully.

QUESTION: I have a 2013 Honda PCX 150 scooter. The front tire is 90/90-14. The rear tire is 100/90-14. The wheelbase is listed at 51.8 inches. Which model VersaHaul do I need? Would the chock work for this scooter? Would the wheel chock (vh-chock) help hold the scooter upright while I strap it down?

ANSWER: The VH-55 RO model carrier will work great for your scooter. The chock is adaptable with this carrier. However, the only problem I see is the possibility of the front fairing being too low on your scooter and possibly hitting the top of the chock. The very front of the chock at the highest point is 13″. Yes, the chock is used to help hold the bike upright so that you can strap the bike down. Hope this helps.
