Versahaul carriers’ compatibility depend on the type of vehicle and motorcycle. If you have concerns with the weight or type of your motorcycle, you may be able to answer your question by researching these cases we had with other customers.

QUESTION: I have a GSXR stretched 14 in and the tire is 300mm. Do u have anything that will work for that? thank u!

ANSWER: Our largest carrier is the VH-SPORT RO it has a carrying capacity of 600 lbs and the rail length is 77.5″ and the width is 7.8″. QUESTION: I’m looking to purchase a motorcycle carrier that will not only hold my bike, but will allow me to pull a boat at the same time. My bike is a Honda Shadow Spirit 750 (cruiser). It weighs around 550 pounds. The boat is 17 1/2 feet weighing around 1,300 lbs. I plan to haul all if this with a 2010 21 foot Coachmen Freelander RV. Do you have a product that will fit my needs?

ANSWER: The VH-Sport RO is the best option.  It has a 600 lb total carrying weight and a towing capacity of 3000 lbs. You will also need a bigger Class IV or Class V hitch that can support the combined weight of your bike (est 536 lbs), VH-Sport RO (111 lbs) and the Tongue weight of your trailer.  Also Coachmen frames sometimes do not extend far enough behind the Camper.  The hitch may not support this weight.  Check the hitch mount carefully.

QUESTION: I have a 2013 Honda PCX 150 scooter. The front tire is 90/90-14. The rear tire is 100/90-14. The wheelbase is listed at 51.8 inches. Which model VersaHaul do I need? Would the chock work for this scooter? Would the wheel chock (vh-chock) help hold the scooter upright while I strap it down?

ANSWER: The VH-55 RO model carrier will work great for your scooter. The chock is adaptable with this carrier. However, the only problem I see is the possibility of the front fairing being too low on your scooter and possibly hitting the top of the chock. The very front of the chock at the highest point is 13″. Yes, the chock is used to help hold the bike upright so that you can strap the bike down. Hope this helps.

QUESTION: I have a Suzuki Burgman 400cc that weighs 500 lbs. The wheelbase is 62.4 inches, width is 32.5 inches, seat height is 28 inches.

ANSWER: The VH-SPORT RO model will be the best carrier for your Burgman scooter. This has a 600 lbs carrying capacity and has a 77.5″ long rail.  Dimensions are listed on http://versahaul.com/vhsportro.php Please visit the above link for vehicle and hitch limitations. Check that your hitch is not recessed behind your motorhome’s bumper or that a ladder or spare tire is in the way. The VH-SPORT can be customized to have a longer 30” main tube to avoid obstacles.  Usually this is not necessary.  http://versahaul.com/vhCustom.php The exhaust from a Diesel Pusher may require the purchase of a longer main tube because the hot exhaust may damage the paint of the tie-down tube.
