Some of our carriers allow a trailer or other hitch product to be attached behind the carrier. If you have a concern with this feature, you may be able to answer your question by researching these cases we had with other customers.

QUESTION: I have a 2009 F150 supercrew with a 5.4 l engine and trailer pkg. Can I haul two motorcycles with a combined weight of 550 lbs and pull a 2900 lbs travel trailer? Would I be better off using a one bike hauler and putting the other in the bed? The bed is 5.5 ft.

ANSWER: Our double motorcycle carrier does not have a towing feature at all. We have 2 single models that have towing features. One is the VH-55 RO that has a 500 lbs carrying capacity and the VH-SPORT Ro that has a 600lbs carrying capacity. You will not want to exceed the carrying capacity of the carrier. If your bike weighs 300 lbs and you purchase the VH-55 RO then you would have 200lbs of tongue weight remaining behind the carrier for your trailer.

QUESTION: I have a Class A Motorhome, I would like to put your VH-Sport RO on the back This Motorhome has 2x2” hitch and now carries a 28 ft car trailer and 900 lbs of tongue weight. My question is do you have a model that would flat tow a 3500 lb Jeep? And have a 290 lb Cycle on your VH-Sport RO.

ANSWER: The VH-SPORT carrier is designed to safely carry 600 lbs. Most Class III hitches are rated for 500 lbs. The max towing weight, regardless of your vehicle, is 3000 lbs.
